You will be the Manufacturing Engineer for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program. Our team is responsible for designing and improving manufacturing processes to make production more reliable, efficient, and cost‑effective while providing engineering support to the production floor.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for creating robust tooling, equipment, and process solutions that drive our THAAD program forward.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Develop tooling and equipment designs from engineering specifications into complete technical data packages.


• Produce detailed design documentation using Creo or SolidWorks in compliance with company standards.


• Provide on‑site engineering support to the production floor, troubleshooting issues and ensuring rate requirements are met.


• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and resolve production challenges.


• Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and systems to enhance efficiency.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.

Desired Skills:
• Proficient with MS Office suite.
• Proficiency or experience with AutoCAD, CREO, or SolidWorks.
• Knowledgeable of hydraulic and pneumatic systems/equipment used in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledgeable of machine / tool mechanical design.
• Knowledgeable of general manufacturing / integration processes.
• Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
• Knowledgeable of engineering materials.
• Ability to identify and solve complex issues.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
