Job Description


Description:You will be a Manufacturing Engineer for our Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) program. Our team is responsible for designing and improving manufacturing processes to make production more reliable, efficient, and cost-effective, and providing engineering support to the production floor.


What You Will Be Doing


As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for translating hardware specifications into tooling and equipment designs, supporting the production floor, and driving continuous improvement.



Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:


• Development of tooling and equipment designs from engineering hardware specifications and culminating in complete technical data packages fully defining the tooling / equipment and allowing fabrication of detailed components and assembly of the end item.
• Design / documentation efforts to be accomplished IAW company standards utilizing Creo / Solid Works.
• Provide engineering support to the production floor for issues that may surface in normal day to day integration processes by analyzing and using problem solving skills in a team environment in accordance with production rate requirements.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues.
• Developing and implementing new manufacturing processes and systems.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance, therefore, U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
Desired Skills:
• Proficient with MS Office suite.
• Proficiency or experience with AutoCAD, CREO, or SolidWorks.
• Knowledgeable of hydraulic and pneumatic systems/equipment used in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledgeable of machine / tool mechanical design.
• Knowledgeable of general manufacturing / integration processes.
• Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
• Knowledgeable of engineering materials.
• Ability to identify and solve complex issues.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
