Description:

Become part of the Lockheed Martin MFC team within the Tool Design team. The selected candidate will work alongside tooling operations, production, and program engineers to design and develop custom tools and equipment used to manufacture missiles and missile systems.

What You Will Be Doing As the Tool Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

•Designing, developing, and implementing industrial tooling and equipment used to manufacture offensive and defensive weapons systems.
•Designing tooling such as dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, prototype model production and machine attachments required for production or experimental use.
•Considering such factors as safety, accessibility, economy, mobility, and performance requirements while designing.
•Using 3D CAD software (Creo) to create detailed 3D models and technical drawing packages.
•Reviewing defective tooling and determining rework solutions.
•Providing input on manufacturing methods and process improvements.

This position typically requires 2 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline or an equivalent combination of experience and education
•Proficient in the use of CAD Software (Creo, SolidWorks, Catia etc)
•Ability to interpret technical drawings, product specifications, and other technical data
•Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams etc.)
•Candidate must be a US citizen and be able to obtain a Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
•Knowledge of tool concept and design
•Experience with tooling and tool fabrication
•Experience in a manufacturing environment
•CREO/Pro E experience
•Familiar with GD&T
•Familiar with SAP
•Familiarity with Lockheed Martin processes and procedures
•Ability to collaborate within a multi-functional team
•Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
