You will be an Aircraft Structural Mechanic. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional results, and we're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Structural Mechanic to join our team.



What You Will Be Doing

As an Aircraft Structural Mechanic, you will be responsible for:

• The Aircraft Structural Mechanic is responsible for modifying, repairing, and maintaining the structural configurations of H‑6, H‑60, and H‑47 rotary‑wing aircraft. You will execute scheduled and unscheduled inspections, structural repairs, and modifications on airframe structures and components, ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards and supporting mission‑critical operational readiness.
• Perform high‑complexity modifications to frames, beams, fuselage, wings, tail assemblies, landing‑gear attachments, doors, and hatches using riveting, fastening, trimming, sanding, bonding, and composite repair techniques.
• Lead inspections for structural damage, corrosion, cracks, and other defects; execute removal, treatment, and preventative programs; provide technical guidance to junior mechanics.
• Fabricate, install, and replace sheet‑metal and composite panels, fairings, and structural components per engineering drawings and service bulletins.
• Conduct and certify phase, isochronal, and periodic inspections; identify early‑life‑limit concerns and recommend corrective actions.
• Interpret engineering drawings, repair manuals, structural repair schemes, and service bulletins; ensure accurate entry of work in maintenance logs, modification/production instructions, and military documentation systems.
• Lead rigging tasks to verify proper alignment of airframe assemblies and control surfaces after repairs or modifications.
• Perform final QA checks, verify compliance with airworthiness standards, and release aircraft for flight.
• Provide structural repairs in both flight‑line and depot environments; coordinate with depot shops for major repairs and back‑shop support.
• Train, mentor, and supervise Level I Aircraft Structural Mechanics; allocate work, review technical data, and ensure safety compliance.
• Adapt to shift variations, travel, and deployment requirements; support multiple aircraft types as mission needs dictate.

Basic Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
1. Aircraft Composites Knowledge – Proficient in aviation composite repairs, modifications, and installations.
2. Maintenance Documentation – Ability to accurately record repairs, inspections, and modifications in maintenance logs, modification and production instructions, and military documentation systems.
3. Quality Assurance – Demonstrated skill in verifying completed work against airworthiness standards and mission requirements.
4. Depot Maintenance Support – Capability to execute structural repairs at both flight‑line and depot levels.
5. Operational Flexibility – Ability to work in team environments, independently, and adapt to shift changes, travel, or deployment.
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated experience in composite material fabrication, inspection, and repair.

Proficiency with composite layup techniques, including wet layup, pre-preg, and vacuum bagging.

Knowledge of bonding, curing, and finishing processes for composite structures.

Ability to perform structural and non‑structural composite repairs in accordance with technical manuals and industry standards.

Familiarity with NDT methods (e.g., ultrasonic, tap test) for composite damage assessment.

Skilled in tooling, trimming, and fitting composite components to precise tolerances.

Understanding of safety protocols and handling procedures for composite materials, adhesives, and resins.

Experience documenting repair processes and quality assurance checks to meet compliance requirement
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
