Position Summary

Sonoco is seeking a skilled Machine Operator I for our Beecher, IL facility. Reporting to the Supervisor, you'll thrive in a 1st shift role (6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday-Thursday, with potential Friday overtime). Starting at $20.37/hour, this full-time position offers hands-on involvement in rotational molding production, ensuring high-quality output in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate rotational molding machines, molds, and equipment following manufacturer and company procedures.
  • Conduct routine product inspections for specifications like cure, thickness, and sizing.
  • Perform mold maintenance, cleaning, waxing, and report any issues promptly.
  • Adjust machines for efficiency, minimize downtime, and log production data accurately.
  • Uphold housekeeping, safety standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/bend for extended periods, and climb ladders.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills for quality control.
