Key Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician - Nights, your primary accountabilities include a range of critical tasks to support uninterrupted production:

• Perform preventative maintenance on all production equipment according to manufacturer's specifications.
• Repair and install production/manufacturing equipment, diagnosing malfunctions and making necessary adjustments.
• Conduct breakdown analysis to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain general housekeeping standards and upgrade production lines with new equipment or technology.
• Collaborate with outside contractors on assigned lines and manage package changeovers.
• Ensure full compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety protocols, and audit standards.
• Document work schedules, tasks completed, and maintenance activities accurately.

Physical demands include frequent lifting, climbing, standing, walking, crouching, squatting, bending, and kneeling, often in challenging conditions. Weekend and holiday work may be required to meet production needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following basic qualifications:

• Be 18 years or older.
• Pass a technical assessment covering job-critical maintenance knowledge areas.
• Possess experience with mechanical systems, including gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, and bearings.
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading and applying product manuals for repairs.
• Have hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns and reading mechanical drawings (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics).

Helpful experience includes:

• Basic electrical systems (starters, fuses, relays).
• Compressors, ammonia/refrigeration systems, conveyors, and airveyors.
• Electrical installation, VFDs, electronics, gearing, hydraulics, kinematics, packaging/high-speed production, PLCs, pneumatics, pumps, schematics, and SERVO systems.
• Team-based environments and computerized preventative maintenance.
