Key Responsibilities

• Lead and architect research strategy for new GenAI agents and LLMs, setting team direction.
• Recruit, lead, and mentor top-tier data scientists in ML and LLMs.
• Drive innovation in LLM applications like reasoning, summarization, and interactivity.
• Make strategic decisions on model architectures, training, and deployment.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives, aligning with senior leadership and business goals.
• Represent CrowdStrike through publications, speaking, and thought leadership.
• Establish best practices, standards, and evaluation frameworks.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed, you'll need an advanced degree (PhD or Masters) in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field, plus 8+ years of applied machine learning/research experience with leadership in production-grade models. A proven track record leading Data Science teams is essential, alongside deep expertise in LLM training/deployment at scale. Strong technical leadership, including mentoring and strategy, is required. Proficiency in Python, Deep Learning frameworks, cloud technologies, and expert-level GPU optimization is critical. Outstanding communication to influence stakeholders and solve complex challenges at scale rounds out the profile.
