As Manager, Engineering - ProdSys in Bangalore, India, you'll lead a high-impact team within CrowdStrike's Technical Operations. Oversee tens of thousands of bare metal and virtual compute nodes in a production environment demanding a live-site first mentality. Your role spans real-time issue response, site readiness, asset monitoring, procurement, provisioning, and core systems administration. Drive technical excellence in virtualization, bare metal, and data center operations, supporting our rapidly scaling global security platform powered by the Falcon platform.
Work hands-on with VMware, OpenStack, Nova, Juju, Charms, MaaS, Linux, FreeBSD, Storage Area Networks (SAN), and large-scale block/object storage (100+ PB). Architect solutions for object storage environments and ensure 24/7 reliability through on-call management.
Lead a talented team of engineers focused on virtualization platforms, bare metal systems, and critical data center operations. Mentor your team through code and process reviews, fostering continuous learning. Manage on-call rotations to maintain unwavering 24/7 reliability for our cybersecurity infrastructure. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and project management to align initiatives with business goals. Enhance monitoring systems, automation, and infrastructure security, directly supporting CrowdStrike's mission to stop breaches worldwide via the Falcon platform.
To succeed, bring an MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience, plus 12+ years in engineering—ideally production roles—and 3+ years managing engineering teams. Demonstrate solid design, problem-solving, and passion for excellence in quality, security, and performance. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential. Required experience includes Linux, VMware, FreeBSD, SAN, SRE practices, OpenStack/Nova/Juju/Charms, object storage design, and managing 100+ PB block/object storage at scale.
Stand out with cybersecurity/intelligence exposure, on-prem storage solutions, or AWS S3 experience. Your leadership will propel CrowdStrike's infrastructure forward in a remote-first environment.
