Key Responsibilities at Datadog

• Lead a cross-functional team of 7 engineers collaborating with Product Managers and Designers to deliver cloud commitment optimization tools
• Drive technical architecture for Commitment Programs ensuring scalability, reliability, and future-proof design
• Own end-to-end product outcomes including code quality, system SLAs/SLOs, and exceptional user experiences
• Help customers identify optimal AWS Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, and multi-cloud commitments using Datadog telemetry
• Build automation to manage commitment programs across AWS, GCP, Azure, and OCI on customers' behalf
• Conduct code reviews, contribute production code, and lead technical design discussions
• Expand platform coverage to additional cloud providers while maintaining high engineering standards
• Foster culture of ownership and accountability across the CCM engineering organization
• Invest in engineer growth through career development planning and skill-building initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements

Datadog seeks proven Engineering Managers with deep cloud expertise and leadership excellence:

• 2+ years Engineering Management experience shipping customer-impacting features at high velocity
• Hands-on experience managing cloud spend optimization and infrastructure cost management
• Demonstrated ability to "elevation-shift" from strategic roadmapping to technical implementation
• Comfortable writing production code, leading code reviews, and architectural discussions
• Experience building high-performing teams through empathetic, human-first management
• Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and FinOps methodologies
