As Engineering Manager, you'll have direct influence on the product roadmap, working with Datadog's rich telemetry and observability data to build features that deliver massive ROI for customers.

Key Responsibilities at Datadog

• Lead a pod of 7 talented engineers (frontend and backend) collaborating with Product Managers and Designers
• Help customers prioritize and realize potential savings through intelligent recommendations
• Build new high-impact recommendations based on customer telemetry and cloud billing patterns
• Drive technical direction setting industry standards for ROI calculations and scorecards
• Own end-to-end outcomes including code quality, system SLAs/SLOs, and exceptional user experience
• Conduct code reviews, participate in technical design discussions, and write production code
• Mentor engineers through 1:1s identifying strengths and growth opportunities
• Foster culture of ownership, independence, and accountability across CCM engineering
• Leverage Datadog observability data to identify infrastructure optimizations without compromising stability

Qualifications & Requirements

Datadog seeks candidates who excel at both strategic thinking and hands-on execution:

• 3+ years Engineering Management experience shipping customer-focused products rapidly while maintaining quality
• Proven ability to build and scale high-performing engineering teams
• Deep cloud cost management or infrastructure optimization experience (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Technical chops to contribute code, lead design reviews, and architect scalable systems
• Exceptional elevation-shifting capability - comfortable at product strategy and implementation levels
• Passion for Datadog's observability platform and cloud-native technologies

Salary & Benefits

Competitive Compensation: $187,000 - $240,000 USD base salary plus equity (RSUs) and variable compensation. Total compensation considers experience, skills, and location.
