As Manager I, Engineering - Cloud SIEM Threat Hunting based in Paris, France, you'll lead the development of cutting-edge AI agents that proactively hunt threats and automatically generate detection rules. This hybrid role combines people management with hands-on engineering using modern tech stacks like Java, Go, Python, and Kubernetes.

Cloud SIEM provides real-time visibility into cloud security events, empowering organizations to detect and respond to threats instantly. Your team will build purpose-built co-pilot experiences for advanced security teams, significantly improving customer security posture through Generative AI innovations.

Key Responsibilities at Datadog

• Manage, grow, and lead a team of 3-5 Cloud SIEM Threat Hunting engineers
• Drive AI-powered threat hunting capabilities and detection rule generation
• Collaborate with Cloud SIEM product teams, Product Managers, and Designers
• Contribute hands-on technical work (~50% time) with Java, Go, Python, Kubernetes
• Ensure engineering processes meet Datadog's highest standards
• Lead code reviews, design reviews, and technical architecture decisions
• Incorporate latest Generative AI trends into Cloud SIEM innovations
• Set technical direction and roadmap for threat hunting features
• Partner cross-functionally to deliver customer-impacting security solutions

Qualifications & Requirements

• Engineering Leadership: 5+ years as Software Engineer with 2+ years managing teams
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Java, Go, Python, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures
• Security Domain: Deep experience with SIEM systems, threat hunting, and cloud security
• AI Knowledge: Familiarity with Generative AI, ML models, and AI agent development
• Collaboration Skills: Proven success working with Product, Design, and cross-functional teams
• Hands-on Mentality: Comfortable contributing code while managing engineers

Paris-based candidates with EU work authorization preferred. French/English bilingualism is a plus.
