Join Datadog's Infrastructure Remediation team as a Manager I, Engineering in New York, New York. This elite team helps Datadog customers identify and resolve critical infrastructure issues using AI-powered remediation steps displayed directly in our world-class user interface. Currently focused on Kubernetes challenges, the team is expanding to cover broader infrastructure types. As Engineering Manager, you'll lead team growth, contribute technically, and shape product strategy for observability solutions used by top engineering teams worldwide.

Key Responsibilities at Datadog

• Lead and mentor engineers: Manage team dynamics, set ambitious goals, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive, productive environment.
• Shape product roadmaps: Partner with Product Managers to define strategic direction with direct impact on Datadog's remediation platform and user experience.
• Solve complex problems: Engage strategically with technical infrastructure challenges and guide your team to create well-defined, actionable remediation plans.
• Hands-on technical leadership: Serve as core code contributor and reviewer, lead architecture decisions, and participate in on-call rotation.
• Drive team growth: Expand coverage from Kubernetes issues to multi-cloud infrastructure remediation.
• Integrate AI/ML: Work with machine learning models to deliver intelligent, automated remediation workflows.
• Customer impact: Validate product previews and improve workflows for Datadog's engineering users.
• Full stack delivery: Build reliable distributed systems using Go, TypeScript, and container technologies.
• Champion reliability: Ensure fault-tolerant infrastructure that powers enterprise observability.

Qualifications & Requirements

Datadog seeks proven leaders passionate about infrastructure reliability and observability. Ideal candidates bring:

• Engineering management experience with demonstrated success in team leadership and professional development.
• Deep expertise building distributed systems emphasizing reliability, fault tolerance, and scalability.
• Product-oriented mindset with experience scoping roadmaps, especially for new products, collaborating with PMs and customers.
• Full stack proficiency in Go programming language and TypeScript; strong preference for Kubernetes and container orchestration experience.
• Working knowledge of Machine Learning models, particularly evaluation of quality, performance, and integration into production systems.
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Salary & Benefits

Competitive compensation: $187,000 - $240,000 USD base salary plus equity (RSUs), variable compensation, and comprehensive benefits. Actual offers consider experience, skills, and location.
