Role Overview

As Manager, Medical Rebates Execution - Accounting, you will lead a dynamic team handling GPO Admin Fees and medical rebates processes. This position demands expertise in SAP Vistex, month-end accounting closes, and SOX-compliant internal controls. Reporting to Finance leadership, you will manage setups, accruals, reporting, and cross-functional partnerships to ensure rebate accuracy and timely execution. Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of critical finance operations at Cardinal Health:

• Manage a blended team of Cardinal Health and Genpact professionals responsible for GPO Admin Fees and rebates setup, P&L accruals, SAP Vistex configurations, and ad hoc reporting for stakeholders.
• Oversee the month-end accounting close process, ensuring rebates are accounted for under core GAAP principles.
• Conduct first-level reviews and approvals for non-standard rebate structures, maintaining robust audit documentation and securing necessary approvals.
• Monitor key CSLs and KPIs for rebate accuracy and timeliness, partnering cross-functionally to resolve root causes of discrepancies.
• Strengthen SOX internal controls, develop SOPs, and lead projects for process optimization and Vistex go-live.
• Develop future system enhancements and assist with complex customer transactions and escalations.
• Collaborate with business partners across Sales, Legal, Finance, Pricing, Accounting, and Contracting to enhance transaction accounting and customer experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

Cardinal Health seeks top-tier talent with:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management (CPA strongly preferred).
• 8+ years of progressive experience in Accounting, Finance, or Audit within a multinational environment.
• Deep accounting and finance acumen, including SAP proficiency, legal contract knowledge, and revenue recognition standards.
• Proven data mining skills and familiarity with relevant tools.
• Exceptional leadership to build and influence teams, strong written/verbal communication, and process improvement mindset.
• Comprehensive understanding of SOX/internal controls and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
