Key Responsibilities at Rivian

As Manager, Productivity Platforms at Rivian, your impact will be immediate and strategic:

• Lead Platform Availability: Own the health and stability of Google Workspace, Jira/Confluence, Slack, ensuring zero-downtime operations for thousands of Rivian employees building the future of EVs.
• Command Incidents: Act as War Room Incident Commander for P1/P2 outages, coordinating engineering, vendors, and business comms while owning RCA and preventive remediations.
• Drive SLA/SLO Excellence: Define metrics, monitor Tier 2/3 ticket queues, and report operational KPIs with strategic insights to IT leadership.
• Optimize FinOps: Manage software budgets through license reclamation, headcount-based forecasting, and strategic vendor renewals with QBRs.
• Engineer Processes: Automate workflows like access requests and project provisioning, enforce cybersecurity compliance, and uphold change management best practices.
• Innovate with AI: Identify automation and integration opportunities using emerging AI productivity tools to streamline Rivian's operations.
• Report Strategically: Deliver dashboards and commentary proving platform value and team performance.
• Manage Teams: Lead engineers, admins, and analysts to hit goals in a collaborative, high-growth EV environment.
• Govern Compliance: Run audits ensuring platforms meet Rivian's rigorous governance policies.
• Streamline Operations: Continuously optimize for efficiency in Rivian's dynamic, innovative culture.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed as Manager, Productivity Platforms at Rivian, bring:

• 5+ years in IT Operations, Service Delivery, or Systems Engineering managing SaaS ecosystems (Google Workspace, Atlassian, Slack).
• Proven Incident Commander experience leading outages with RCA ownership.
• FinOps expertise in budget oversight, license optimization, and vendor negotiations.
• Data-driven mindset with dashboard-building for metrics and trends.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Range: $167,400 - $209,300 USD (CA); $140,600 - $175,800 USD (MI, IL, GA). Positioned based on experience, skills, and location.
