Role Overview

As Manager, Resiliency and Platform Engineering, you'll lead proactive efforts to eliminate failure modes and modernize foundational technology within SkyTouch Technology. This hybrid role (four days onsite in North Scottsdale) is perfect for a technical leader passionate about reliability in always-on, revenue-critical environments. • Eliminate recurring issues like memory leaks and brittle defaults through root cause fixes.
• Enforce observability standards using tools like AppDynamics to cut noise and speed recovery.
• Modernize runtimes with containerization, serverless, and toolchain upgrades alongside feature delivery.
• Enhance developer experience via tooling, frameworks, and documentation adoption.
• Leverage automation and AI pragmatically to reduce toil and improve outcomes.
• Communicate technical risks in business terms to leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Strong Java background: Spring Boot, microservices, event-driven systems, legacy platforms on AWS.

• Experience leading large-scale modernizations in production.
• Proven ability to drive standards adoption without direct roadmap ownership.
• Expertise in observability (APM, logging, tracing, alerting) to enhance diagnosis and recovery.
• Practical automation/AI application for productivity gains.
