Role Overview

As Manager, Software Engineering - Backend, ITC, you'll lead a high-performing team within Nike's Supply Chain and Planning Technology (SCPT) group. Based in Karnataka, India, this role reports to the Engineering Director and focuses on building modular, API-first solutions for transportation and logistics management. Harness vast transactional datasets to create configurable capabilities consumed by downstream systems. • Leading a team of engineers in designing, developing, onboarding, and supporting Nike’s SCPT platforms.

• 8+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years managing high-performing software engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience in AWS/cloud environments, scalable web applications, and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in Java, Node, Scala; exposure to Python, PySpark, Databricks, and relational databases like Amazon RDS, MySQL, Oracle.
• Domain knowledge in supply chain (inventory, order, logistics, warehouse management) and integrations with Infor TMS, Blue Yonder TMS.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Splunk, SignalFx, New Relic), CI/CD, agile/Scrum, and emerging AI/ML/GenAI for supply chain challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, adaptability, and comfort with global, diverse teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
