The Manager, Vendor Relationship Management plays a pivotal role in Cardinal Health's GBFS governance model. This full-time, remote field position (US-Nationwide-FIELD) ensures seamless execution of vendor contracts, governance processes, and performance optimization. Reporting to Vendor Management Office leadership, you'll act as the 'control tower'—coordinating between GBFS leaders, business stakeholders, and delivery teams like Genpact. With a salary range of $87,700-$151,613 USD annually, this role offers substantial impact in outsourcing, finance, and strategic partnerships.
Drive day-to-day governance across Tier 1 and Tier 2 relationships, including meeting coordination, agenda preparation, and action item follow-up. Ensure adherence to governance calendars, standardized templates, and escalation protocols. Maintain critical tools like RAID logs, dashboards, and issue registers for real-time visibility.
Oversee onboarding/offboarding of third-party contractors, manage SOX-compliant access provisioning, and triage L2/L3 resourcing issues. Lead budget and forecast consolidation for outsourced fees, handle commercial contract management, and perform monthly variance analysis to safeguard financial health.
Track SLA compliance, financial variances, backlogs, and customer effort metrics. Monitor vendor adherence to commitments, including credits and penalties. Proactively identify risks, manage escalation paths, and maintain risk heatmaps to inform leadership decisions.
Engage business process owners and delivery leads, collect structured feedback, and support playbook rollouts. Contribute to dashboard refinements and transformation initiatives identified through governance forums.
Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, or a related field, complemented by 8-12 years of experience in vendor management, third-party oversight, governance, outsourcing, or business services. Key competencies include strong project management for disciplined execution, familiarity with outsourcing contracts, SLA frameworks, and performance metrics. Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools is essential, alongside excellent cross-functional communication skills. Success hinges on being detail-oriented, influential without authority, and a continuous learner who thrives in dynamic environments.
