Role Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer for External Manufacturing Suppliers position at Cardinal Health's Shanghai Sourcing Office is a strategic role within our Contract Manufacturing Engineering team. You will develop manufacturing processes, production layouts, and tools for externally sourced finished medical devices, ensuring alignment with Cardinal Health specifications.   • Managing performance metrics for CMs in service, delivery, quality, compliance, and cost, driving continuous improvements.
  • Establishing robust tracking and reporting processes to meet internal/external audit deadlines and regulatory commitments.
  • Acting as Cardinal Health's technical expert for projects from initiation through commercialization, coordinating audits and 3rd-party inspections.
  • Supporting business reviews, analyzing KPIs via balanced scorecards, and escalating risks or operational issues.
  • Leading problem-solving for production assurance, scheduling, capability building, product changes, and new supplier onboarding.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed, candidates should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
  • 6+ years of related experience in regulated industries, with preference for medical devices.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams toward operational goals and contribute to strategic planning.
