As a key member of the Engineering organization, reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, you will play a vital part in ensuring the refinery's efficient and safe operation.
As an Area Team Engineer, your day will be dynamic and multifaceted. You'll provide mechanical support and troubleshooting expertise to Area Teams, particularly during process unit Turnarounds. A significant portion of your time will be spent reviewing drawings, documents, and equipment datasheets to ensure they meet refinery needs and company specifications. You'll also participate in PHA (Process Hazard Analysis) and HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) reviews, contributing to incident investigations and other PSM/PSI (Process Safety Management/Process Safety Information) related activities.
Project management will be a core responsibility, from initial conception to project closeout. This includes specifying engineered items and equipment, managing multiple projects concurrently, and coordinating with external engineering contractors. You'll also be involved in developing project scopes, cost estimates, and schedules, requiring daily interaction with project team members and stakeholders.
