As a Commercial Marine Operator Intern, your day will be dynamic and engaging. You’ll collaborate with experienced professionals, supporting real-time voyages for Marathon's time-chartered vessels. This involves managing day-to-day operations and logistics for waterborne cargoes, coordinating with Captains, Brokers, Chartering, Trading, Scheduling, Agents, Tug providers, Bunker Vendors, and Terminals to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You'll also gain exposure to Marine Vetting, Port Management, and the commercial aspects of the Global Marine business. You will divide your time between job shadowing, hands-on voyage management work, and a focused project that adds substantial value to the team. With guidance from your manager and a dedicated mentor, you'll enhance your skills in communication, prioritization, problem-solving, and decision-making, preparing you for future challenges in the maritime industry.
