Marathon Petroleum Company LP (MPC) is seeking enthusiastic and driven students for an Intern/Co-op position in our Commercial department for the Summer of 2026, based in Cary, North Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing degrees in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Finance, Business Analytics, or related fields to gain hands-on experience in the energy industry.
As a Commercial intern, you will have the chance to work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to diverse work teams and creating value for our shareholders. You will be immersed in the day-to-day operations of our Marketing (Territory Manager) department, potentially traveling to customer offices or dealer gasoline locations, assisting in prospecting for new customers, and working on projects related to station financials and operation. This role also provides exposure to other critical components of our Commercial organization, such as Product Quality, Governmental Affairs, Business Development, Terminal, Transport & Rail.
