  • Three (3) years of experience in Process Operations in a petrochemical environment OR a two-year associate’s degree in Process Technology OR at least five (5) years industrial experience working in Petrochemical/Refining environment which may include petrochemical /refining products and/or marine dock loading operations (experience)
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs (experience)
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds (experience)
  • Ability to enter vessels (experience)
  • Ability to walk, stoop, bend, squat, pull, and push (experience)
  • Ability to work in hard to reach and high places (experience)
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (experience)
  • Ability to be exposed to all types of weather conditions (experience)
  • Ability to work around machinery and pinch points (experience)
  • Successful completion of a physical and respirator fit testing (experience)
  • Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule (Dupont schedule) (experience)
  • Commitment to safety procedures (experience)
  • Ability to learn refining process operations (experience)
  • Ability to qualify on process unit operations, hydrocarbon storage facilities operations, or marine dock loading & unloading jobs (experience)
  • Basic computer skills (experience)
  • Ability to follow instructions (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Operate process units, storage facilities, and/or marine docks safely and efficiently.
  • Attend and operate equipment such as towers, pumps, piping including pipelines, pressure vessels, control instruments, separators, furnaces, and storage facilities including tanks.
  • Maintain necessary records and complete appropriate paperwork.
  • Prepare equipment for cleaning, mechanical repairs, alterations, and return to service.
  • Wear all protective equipment, including self-contained breathing apparatus.
  • Participate in emergency response activities.
  • Learn refining process operations.
  • Qualify on process unit operations.
  • Qualify on hydrocarbon storage facilities operations.
  • Qualify on marine dock loading & unloading jobs.
  • Follow the Dupont 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot operational problems.
  • Collect samples for laboratory analysis.
  • Adjust process parameters to maintain optimal performance.
  • Respond to alarms and abnormal operating conditions.
  • Participate in training and development programs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
