The Marketing Manager role at PepsiCo's Vietnam Marketing Unit (VNMU), based on Level 17 of Vincom Center in Ho Chi Minh City, is a pivotal leadership position. You will own the annual marketing plan and results for a group of brands including Poca, Doritos, and emerging innovations. This full-time role demands strategic vision, creative execution, and cross-functional collaboration to drive sales, market share, and brand health. Reporting to the Marketing Lead, you'll align local initiatives with global best practices while adapting to Vietnam's unique consumer landscape.
Align marketing strategies with VNMU business needs, developing the annual operating plan (AOP) and initiative calendar. Provide inputs for Strategic Deep Dive (SDD) and Acceleration Plans. Manage bottom-up AOP budgets and leverage key drivers for consumer preference and volume growth.
Lead local programs meeting consumer, customer, and regulatory demands. Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Procurement, and Finance for on-time launches. Ensure stage-gate project management, trade channel alignment, and post-launch evaluations.
Develop communication plans, brief agencies, and oversee campaigns leveraging PepsiCo best practices. Adapt copy, labels, and POS materials to local language and culture. Provide sales teams with materials, secure legal approvals, and manage production and media buying as the brand guardian.
Track initiatives using retail audits, brand health tracking, and consumer visits. Analyze data to identify issues and opportunities, advising the Marketing Head and Commercial Team. Monitor competitors and optimize A&M budgets for competitiveness.
Coach Marketing Executives and peers, building capabilities across functions. Fulfill Global Control Standards (GCS) as a control owner, ensuring compliance and remediation.
Candidates must hold a university degree with at least 5 years of marketing experience, including 2+ years in a managerial role. FMCG industry experience is essential, with Food & Beverage backgrounds strongly preferred. Key traits include strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and presentation skills; a robust business mindset; leadership and influencing abilities; and proficiency in managing multiple projects. Success requires expertise in innovation pipelines, consumer insights, strategic thinking, creativity, and team motivation.
