Located in the vibrant Poblenou district, the Four Points by Sheraton Barcelona Diagonal is a modern hotel with 154 guest rooms, 12 floors, a Mediterranean restaurant, meeting rooms, gym facilities, and a dedicated team focused on delivering outstanding guest experiences.

We are currently looking for an Assistant Chief Engineer to support the Engineering Department and ensure the proper operation, safety, and maintenance of all hotel facilities.

The Assistant Chief Engineer will work closely with the Chief Engineer to maintain high operational standards and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of guest rooms, public areas, meeting rooms, restaurant, kitchen, and gym facilities.

Monitor guest satisfaction results and key performance indicators to identify maintenance-related improvement opportunities.

Assist in the selection, coordination, and management of external contractors and service providers.

Supervise the work of external companies, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Coordinate or recommend additional services such as painting, refurbishments, and replacement of furniture or equipment.

Support the training of the maintenance team in operational procedures, safety standards, and preventive maintenance.

Supervise daily maintenance operations and actively participate in hands-on maintenance tasks when required.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and brand standards.

Previous experience in maintenance or engineering, preferably within the hospitality industry.

Certified technician in electricity and plumbing (vocational training or equivalent technical qualification).

Basic technical knowledge of HVAC systems and preventive maintenance.

Minimum Spanish language proficiency at B2 level (mandatory) to ensure effective communication with the team, guests, and external suppliers.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Proactive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, and guest satisfaction.

Ability to work in a dynamic environment and support operational priorities.

Salary year + 10% as a bonus
26.000 to 32.000€ year
