Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Execute daily procurement-related tasks, including picking up and delivering goods, supplies, and equipment as requested by the Purchasing Department. Verify purchase orders and delivery documentation for accuracy before and after each trip. Safely transport items to and from assigned destinations using company vehicles. Park vehicles in designated areas when not in use. Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and damage, check tire pressure and fluid levels, and refuel as necessary. Document all vehicle incidents (e.g., damages, accidents) and submit reports to the manager or supervisor.

Assist management in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring timely delivery of goods. Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to confirm delivery schedules and resolve discrepancies. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager; complete all required safety training and certifications. Follow company policies and procedures; maintain a clean and professional appearance; safeguard proprietary information and company assets. Anticipate and address operational needs promptly. Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing; answer telephones using proper etiquette. Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and vendors. Ensure adherence to quality standards and recommend improvements to increase efficiency. Read and verify information in various formats (including small print). Inspect tools, equipment, and vehicles visually to identify defects. Move at a speed required to respond to operational needs (e.g., walk, jog). Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or entire shifts. Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance and over 75 lbs with assistance. Navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, stairs, and service ramps. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Frequent use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills. Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Related Work Experience: Less than 1-year related work experience.

Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

License or Certification: Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
