Role Overview

The Master Data Manager, Application Development and Maintenance, leads the Pharma Master Data Team in designing and delivering reliable master data solutions critical to key Pharma business processes. This nationwide US role ensures data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across systems, establishing a single source of truth that powers quality, compliance, and innovation. Reporting within Information Technology's Application Development & Maintenance function, you'll manage department operations, supervise teams, and partner with business leaders to meet organizational needs through SAP MDG expertise.

Key Responsibilities

As a leader in Cardinal Health's growing master data organization, your responsibilities include:

  • Managing department operations and supervising professional employees, frontline supervisors, and business support staff.
  • Participating in policy and procedure development to achieve strategic goals.
  • Ensuring team adherence to guidelines and design control processes.
  • Making decisions with short-term impact on work processes, outcomes, and customers.
  • Interacting with subordinates, peers, customers, suppliers, and senior management to resolve operational and project issues.
  • Gaining consensus from stakeholders to drive master data initiatives forward.

Technical Leadership Focus

Lead the implementation of SAP MDG solutions for Customer, Vendor, and Material master data domains. Oversee integrations with SAP ECC and S/4HANA, third-party interfaces, and data conversion processes while aligning business requirements with technical executions.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:

  • 8-12 years of relevant experience, with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Expertise in SAP MDG implementation for large-scale projects covering Customer, Vendor, and Material domains.
  • Extensive experience integrating SAP MDG with SAP ECC and S/4HANA systems.
  • Strong knowledge of third-party interfaces, data conversion, and business process alignment with MDG technical solutions.
  • Expert-level SAP functional configuration in Material, Customer, and Supplier master data.
  • Significant hands-on experience with BRF+ for rule-based workflows, user exits, BADIs, and developer collaborations.
  • Proficiency in data model enhancements, DIF/DEF data transfer, DRF replication, and rule-based configurations.
  • SAP MDG certifications highly desirable.
