Position Summary

Join Sonoco as a Material Handler II in Dalton, GA, on the 3rd shift. Reporting to the Department Supervisor, you will drive forklifts and handle raw and finished goods, ensuring safe and efficient operations in our state-of-the-art packaging facility. This full-time, mid-level role offers competitive pay starting at $21.96/hr and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe and efficient performance of assigned duties and the operation of a stand-up forklift.
• Support production needs by handling and distributing finished goods and raw materials to appropriate workstations throughout the plant.
• Check and verify tags, markings, and labels for accuracy.
• Load and unload trucks; process and maintain appropriate paperwork.
• Maintain parts inventory; assist with monthly inventory; arrange and sort warehouse stock.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in driving a forklift.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
