Position Summary

Join Sonoco as a Material Handler II in Dalton, GA, on the 3rd shift. Reporting to the Department Supervisor, you will drive forklifts and handle raw and finished goods, ensuring safe and efficient operations in our state-of-the-art packaging facility. This full-time, mid-level role offers competitive pay starting at $21.96/hr and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate stand-up forklifts safely and efficiently for material movement.
  • Support production by distributing raw materials and finished goods to workstations.
  • Verify accuracy of tags, markings, and labels on materials.
  • Load/unload trucks, process paperwork, and maintain inventory records.
  • Assist with monthly inventory counts and organize warehouse stock.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience driving a forklift.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
