Key Responsibilities

  • Fostering relationships and leveraging deep knowledge of K-12 STEM and ELA to increase sales of McGraw Hill products
  • Delivering winning sales presentations and supportive pre- and post-sales activities, including strategy development and training
  • Demonstrating thorough understanding of McGraw Hill products, the educational landscape, and territory revenue goals
  • Working successfully and collaboratively with sales team members while also operating in a self-directed, independent manner
  • Remaining current on educational trends, priorities, initiatives, and pedagogical knowledge
  • Communicating the value of McGraw Hill's innovative educational resources to educators and districts
  • Offering tailored solutions to enhance schools' and districts' Humanities curriculum
  • Bridging the gap between innovative McGraw Hill products and real classroom needs
  • Traveling approximately 80% of the time within California territory to meet with educators
  • Utilizing technology to deliver engaging multimedia presentations both virtually and in-person

Required Qualifications

  • A or B.S degree (M.A. or higher desired)
  • 5+ years of successful teaching experience
  • Expertise and knowledge of K-12 STEM (Math, Science) and ELA trends and pedagogy
  • Must reside in California within 1 hour of a major airport
  • Ability to travel 80% of the time within designated territory, including by car
  • Valid driver's license with ability to drive in territory
  • Fluent Spanish speaker required
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis

  • Previous experience successfully selling and supporting in the educational sales landscape
