We’re seeking a dynamic Sales Representative to cover the Eastern Michigan territory, reporting to a District Sales Manager in our Higher Education Sales Organization. In this role, you’ll drive digital product sales by connecting with faculty and key stakeholders at colleges and universities, leveraging McGraw Hill’s cutting-edge technologies to maximize student success. Sales Representatives at McGraw Hill are experienced communicators who are highly organized, data-driven, and adept at quickly mastering new technologies to amplify the impact of our solutions. The ideal candidate embodies an entrepreneurial spirit—proactively seeking out, engaging, and closing business in a dynamic, complex environment. With intellectual curiosity and a deep appreciation for educational institutions, you’ll travel 4 days per week to meet professors and administrators on campus. Candidates must be located within or near Eastern or middle Michigan and authorized to work in the United States, holding a valid driver’s license. What you’ll do: Grow McGraw Hill’s digital user base and market share using our existing customer relationships, exceed sales goals through collaboration with internal teams, and become the trusted advisor for faculty and administrators. You’ll partner with college bookstores for seamless content delivery, ensure optimal implementation of our technologies via compelling presentations, manage your territory pipeline in CRM, handle budgets, and strategize with leadership—all while fostering innovation in higher education. Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage McGraw Hill’s existing customer base to grow digital users and increase market share in new course areas
  • Reach or exceed established sales goals for assigned territory and partner with internal support teams to drive revenue
  • Build strong relationships with faculty and administrators, becoming their trusted advisor for higher education course solutions
  • Continuously identify new opportunities to cultivate partnerships with educators
  • Collaborate with college bookstores and business offices to ensure delivery of content and gain understanding of campus initiatives
  • Ensure effective implementation and proper use of McGraw Hill technologies
  • Deliver sales presentations to a variety of audiences including professors and university administration
  • Use a CRM system to develop and maintain territory pipeline from prospect to close
  • Effectively manage business and sampling budget
  • Work with sales leadership on sales strategy
