Reporting to the Director of Sales Programs (Private Sector), you'll generate and close new business in growth-focused territories, delivering powerful demonstrations of our innovative platforms that transform teaching and learning outcomes. With up to 50% regional travel during peak adoption seasons (September-mid November and January-May), you'll be at the forefront of driving digital transformation in higher education. We're seeking proven sales leaders with a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years in higher ed tech sales, and a consultative mindset to uncover needs and win adoptions. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert sales consultation and generate/ close incremental new business sales across high-priority adoptions
  • Collaborate with district leadership teams to strategize on critical sales opportunities
  • Model strategic sales practices and support ongoing learning/development of the district sales team
  • Deliver high-stakes digital sales demonstrations showcasing McGraw Hill's premium digital platforms
  • Develop qualified leads on campus across key disciplines and manage them through the sales pipeline to close
  • Serve as product expert on functionality, value propositions, and differentiators
  • Coach team members on sales demonstrations, user adoption, and sales techniques
  • Analyze usage data to improve communication campaigns responsive to instructor usage
  • Model sales calls and techniques to scale efforts across the territory
  • Participate in kick-off and hand-over meetings with Sales Representatives and Customer Success team

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience within higher education technology sales
  • Residence in the territory and willingness to travel overnight up to 50% during peak periods (September-mid November and January-May)
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a car in the designated territory
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
