As a Senior Analyst, Analytics Delivery on the Analytics Delivery team within Data & Analytics (D&A), you will serve as a cross-functional team lead/member supporting the development and deployment of business intelligence datasets and reporting dashboards for one of McGraw Hill’s four business units (K12, Higher Education, Professional, and International) or corporate functions (HR, Finance). This highly cross-functional, remote position (open to applicants within the United States) requires a mix of technical skills and business savvy to gather and translate stakeholder requirements into D&A deliverables, diving into data while conversing on business priorities and value. In this role, you will collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights driving data-driven solutions in education technology. You will summarize key findings, present insights, and recommend next steps, while remaining creative, responsive, and adaptive in our dynamic, innovative environment. Responsibilities include defining best practices for reporting documentation, implementing control and change processes, and maintaining strong relationships with internal partners to align on organizational objectives. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in analytical roles with expertise in SQL, Python, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, and similar tools, plus strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred experience includes Oracle applications and statistical packages for data science. Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights to drive data-driven solutions and recommendations
  • Summarize and present key findings and insights from data analyzed and provide recommendations on approach and actions for next steps
  • Act as a cross-functional team lead/member supporting development and deployment of business intelligence datasets and reporting dashboards
  • Gather and translate stakeholder requirements into Data & Analytics deliverables for McGraw Hill's business units or corporate functions
  • Remain creative, responsive, and adaptive in a dynamic team environment while learning new competencies
  • Independently research and implement new solutions resourcefully
  • Create and define best practices for documentation of all key reporting, including identification of control processes and following change control processes
  • Maintain effective working relationships with internal clients and partners
  • Dive into data analysis while conversing with stakeholders on business priorities and value
  • Support one of McGraw Hill’s four business units (K12, Higher Education, Professional, and International) or corporate functions (HR, Finance)

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in an analytical or reporting role with heavy emphasis on quantitative analysis and data analytics or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience performing business intelligence, data warehousing, data mining, modeling, and data analysis work using SQL, Python, Alteryx, and/or similar tools
  • Demonstrated experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI, etc
  • Ability to break down complex problems, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with well-established ability to interact well with others to accomplish organizational objectives
  • Effectively manage relationships with diverse stakeholders and align their expectations
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams in dynamic environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle applications and/or other enterprise software
  • Experience with statistical analysis packages used for data science
  • Background in education technology or supporting K12, Higher Education, or corporate functions
