As a Senior Digital Editor, Engineering in our Product Development team, you’ll drive the acquisition, development, and optimization of digital content sets for the AccessEngineering institutional subscription product, while signing and maintaining a small number of engineering print titles. This remote role, open to U.S.-authorized applicants, immerses you in McGraw Hill’s innovation culture, engaging technical communities to align educational needs with content gaps. In this role, you’ll acquire and develop 8-10 digital content sets annually—such as videos, audio, spreadsheets, problem walkthroughs, and cases—optimized for online UX with SMEs and internal teams. You’ll also secure 5-7 print titles yearly, building deep AccessEngineering expertise to ensure targeted content. Network at conferences and campuses to strengthen market knowledge, forge SME relationships, and craft growth business plans. Leverage excellent communication to articulate strategies, conduct engineering research, and guide authors through publishing, ensuring content meets high standards for accuracy, style, and positioning. Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire and develop 8-10 digital content sets (video, audio, spreadsheets, problem walkthroughs, cases, etc.) for AccessEngineering annually, targeting key content gaps
  • Work with SMEs and internal resources to optimize digital content for superior online user experience
  • Acquire 5-7 print titles, including first editions and revisions, annually
  • Develop deep product knowledge of AccessEngineering to ensure relevant content acquisition and development
  • Articulate programs, projects, content, and strategy through excellent written and oral communication
  • Network in technical communities via conferences and campus visits to build market knowledge and SME relationships
  • Translate community insights into business plans for program growth
  • Conduct research and analysis in engineering topic areas to align content with user needs
  • Collaborate with authors to shape content strategy and guide manuscripts through publishing process
  • Manage project timelines, coordinate stakeholders, and oversee content development to completion

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5+ years of digital content development and acquisitions experience in engineering, science, or other technical content markets
