As a Senior Instructional Designer, ELA/SLA in our K-12 Product Development division, you'll join a dynamic team partnering with content experts, product managers, UX designers, and creative media pros to build robust digital literacy solutions for ELA/SLA programs. In this remote, Project Status Worker (PSW) role (ending 04/30/2027), you'll be a digital-savvy content expert accountable for assembling high-quality curriculum based on product requirements. You'll contribute to early workstreams like Implementation Models, Journey Maps, POCs, and prototypes; design storyboards and develop assets including videos, eBooks, interactives, simulations, games, and virtual labs via UBD processes; manage vendors; lead workflows; ensure accessibility; and drive digital launches. Your work will power tools used daily by educators and students, embodying our commitment to edtech innovation. We're seeking collaborative innovators with 4+ years in digital content development, a degree in Instructional Design or related field, project management experience, authoring tool familiarity, and strong communication skills. Preferred: bilingual (Spanish), K-5 teaching background. The pay range is $63,920 - $75,000 annually, plus comprehensive benefits. Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to early product workstreams, Implementation Model, Journey Maps, course maps, POCs, and prototypes
  • Design, storyboard, and develop digital curriculum assets such as videos, eBooks, interactives, simulations, games, and virtual labs using UBD process
  • Participate in concept meetings, review manuscripts, create storyboards, and contribute to alpha and beta builds for digital assets
  • Provide contributions to digital tools, user testing, and product build processes under leadership
  • Manage AD vendors and freelancers by writing guidelines, answering questions, scheduling, and leading weekly status meetings
  • Lead approved workflows at all stages, meet schedules, and ensure product requirements and goals are met on time
  • Lead digital launches with vendors, creating templates, trackers, and development guidelines
  • Identify digital solutions for development issues and collaborate on technical bugs, enhancements, metadata tagging, concept mapping, and digital editing
  • QA vendor work to ensure adherence to guidelines and provide informal training to associate instructional designers
  • Serve as accessibility expert throughout the product development process

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years' experience working in digital content development that includes teaching and learning materials
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or related field required
  • Experience managing multiple projects within tight deliverables and budgets
  • Strong ability to communicate
  • Some experience with authoring tools, learning management systems, and content management systems
  • Some ability to create and visualize animated and interactive content
  • Authorized to work for any employer within the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual recommended, Spanish desired
  • Previous K-5 teaching experience
  • Expertise in accessibility standards for digital learning content
  • Experience in K-12 literacy programs (ELA/SLA)
  • Familiarity with Understanding by Design (UBD) process
