Join our AI Platform team as a Software Engineer III - AI, a remote position open to U.S.-authorized applicants, to build generative AI-powered full-stack applications that transform education technology. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable AI platforms and tools, emphasizing technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers. Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and engineers to integrate cutting-edge AI like LLMs and RAG techniques, ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility, security best practices, and data privacy regulations. Drive CI/CD processes, optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure, and promote engineering excellence for quality, resiliency, and performance in our innovative culture. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain AI platform and AI-powered tools/applications, including generative AI solutions that are reliable, maintainable, and scalable
• Emphasize technical leadership, drive impactful initiatives, and mentor junior engineers
• Develop and maintain software solutions that comply with accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.2 AA
• Integrate accessibility best practices into code, testing, and design processes
• Work closely with data scientists, product managers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI technologies and explore opportunities to integrate new AI capabilities
• Implement best practices for application security and ensure compliance with data privacy and protection regulations
• Contribute to CI/CD processes for smoother releases
• Contribute to cloud infrastructure optimizing for performance, cost, and security
• Promote engineering best practices to ensure quality, stability, performance, resiliency, and maintainability of software

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product or enterprise software development
• Strong hands-on experience on the full software stack including Backend/API (Python/GoLang/Node.js), Frontend (Angular/React), Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB), and Infrastructure (AWS/Azure, Terraform)
• Experience implementing accessible features in web applications compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA
• Experience developing scalable AI powered solutions at an enterprise level such as Azure AI Search, Azure OpenAI service, Amazon Bedrock or similar
• Proven technical abilities in software development, testing, monitoring, performance tuning, and deployment pipelines
• Authorized to work for any employer within the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent focus on generative AI with hands-on experience in LLM frameworks such as LangChain
• Practical knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques
• Experience in education technology or building learning platforms
• Technical leadership experience including mentoring junior engineers
