Our new product, Sharpen, has scaled from Minimum Lovable Product to hundreds of thousands of users, featured on the App Store, with paying customers in its first year. As a Sr Software Engineer, Data & Analytics, you’ll own the design, development, and maintenance of Sharpen’s data pipelines and modeling layers. You’ll work closely with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to ensure the availability and accuracy of data across the organization. This critical technical role bridges data engineering and analytics, ensuring our data infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and optimized for analytics and business intelligence in the EdTech space. This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. What You'll Do: Design and build scalable data pipelines; optimize data models for BI tools; collaborate cross-functionally for insights; implement data quality and security practices; drive self-service analytics; integrate new tools; monitor pipelines; develop KPIs and dashboards. What You Bring: 5+ years experience, SQL expertise, modern data stack proficiency (dbt, BigQuery), ETL tools, data warehousing knowledge, BI tools, scripting languages, governance skills, and strong collaboration.
