The Medical Assistant, Front and Back Office position at Cardinal Health's Southwest Urology location offers a dynamic opportunity to blend clinical expertise with administrative efficiency. In this position, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include assisting with in-office procedures, providing patients with preparation information for office or hospital visits, and administering injections, treatments, or medications. You'll maintain par levels of supplies, keep exam rooms well-stocked and sterile, and ensure a clean environment. Administrative duties encompass gathering and uploading medical records, answering incoming calls, triaging issues, scheduling appointments, checking patients out, and scheduling follow-ups. As a communication liaison, you'll respond to patient messages and calls, contribute to team efforts, meet processing deadlines, and perform additional functions as directed by management. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
Candidates should be high school graduates or equivalents, with certification or eligibility for Medical Assistant certification in Ohio preferred. Prior experience administering injections is highly valued, alongside basic PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required, with preferences for urology background, EMR proficiency, and at least 1 year as a Medical Assistant. This role suits those acquiring job skills, working on routine assignments under close supervision, following guidelines, and seeking regular guidance.
