A Day in the Life

We’re seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst with advanced expertise in Power BI to join our Global Pricing Insights & Analytics team and to collaborate with our stakeholders in Germany. In this role, you’ll play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining data-driven solutions that enable strategic, informed decision-making. The position requires strong technical proficiency in data modeling, DAX, and visualization design, as well as business acumen and the ability to communicate insights through effective storytelling. The ideal candidate will be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, understanding business requirements, and translating them into actionable, visually compelling BI solutions. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

-        Develop, maintain, and operate enterprise-level Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring accuracy, performance, scalability, and timely delivery of recurring outputs.

-        Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into effective BI solutions.

-        Apply data storytelling techniques to convert complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for decision-making.

-        Design, implement, and manage data models and governance frameworks, including ongoing user access and reporting maintenance.

-        Collaborate closely with data engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and reliable scheduled deliveries.

-        Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders by analyzing trends, delivering insights, and supporting deployment of pricing, contracting, and reporting tools.

-        Mentor and support junior team members, promoting strong data literacy and best practices across the organization.

 

Required Knowledge and Experience:

-        Excellent command of German and English (spoken and written) for effective communication.

-        1.5+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Developer, with a strong track record of building complex solutions in Power BI , Excel and Power automate

-        Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.

-        Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large, complex datasets.

-        Experience in ERP and CRM systems like SAP, SFDC

-        Ability to translate complex business challenges into effective BI solutions that drive measurable outcomes.

-        Passion for teamwork, delivering great customer experiences, and continuous learning.

 

Experience with agile practices and supporting adoption of analytics products through communication and training strategies is a plus.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
