A Day in the Life

This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.

This role ensures that all funding checks, approvals, and account setups are completed accurately for both NHS-funded and self-funded customers. You will manage account creation across multiple systems (SAP, Evolve, SAP CRM ICE, PCRM) and handle both administrative tasks and inbound/outbound contact with HCPs, patients, Field Sales, and Technical Consultants. This is a hybrid role based in Watford.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Set up new customer and patient accounts, ensuring all funding information is accurate and complete; follow up with HCPs where needed
  • Manage a shared team inbox and help maintain balanced workload distribution
  • Maintain continuous patient funding by updating payer details for patients who move home or hospital
  • Update delayed warranty pump information, ensuring correct pump serial number transfers for compliance
  • Investigate and provide details on disputed invoices before logging them as disputes
  • Work closely with internal teams to streamline processes and support continuous improvement
  • Maintain a full understanding of Funding Management tasks and keep training records up to date

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience in a customer support or similar role involving payments or invoicing
  • Strong administrative skills with excellent organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to complete tasks independently
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven compliance with financial, administrative, and contact-handling procedures
  • Confident using a headset and computer simultaneously, navigating multiple systems and entering accurate data while on calls
