A Day in the Life

Are you passionate about driving impactful data and process improvement initiatives in a global manufacturing and supply chain environment? Join Medtronic as a GOSC Data Project Manager and play a pivotal role in leading cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that support our mission of transforming healthcare. This is an exciting opportunity to shape strategic projects, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and make a tangible difference in our operations.

This role offers flexibility in working arrangements (on-site, hybrid, or remote) and may require occasional travel. You will report to senior leadership and work closely with business, data, and IT professionals, including external consultants. The position is ideal for candidates who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and are eager to contribute to large-scale, strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

·        Develop comprehensive project plans for systems data and business process improvement implementations

·        Define project scope, goals, and objectives aligned with organizational strategy

·        Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure successful project execution

·        Lead diverse cross-functional project teams, including external consultants

·        Foster effective communication and coordination among team members

·        Gather and document functional and technical requirements for systems and process implementations

·        Manage project execution in Data Management systems (PLMs, ERPs [SAP preferred], Shop Floor systems, Advance Planning Systems [Blue Yonder preferred], and other source systems used in Global Operations & Supply Chain)

·        Provide regular updates to leadership

 

Required Knowledge and Experience:

·        Bachelor’s degree (required); advanced degree preferred

·        Minimum 4 years of relevant experience (or 2 years with advanced degree)

·        PMP certification (ideally)

·        Experience leading projects in validated environments

·        Proven ability to manage program timelines, risks, and escalations

·        Strong collaboration skills across multi-functional teams

·        Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, SmartSheet, TaskTracker, SharePoint, DevOps)

·        Strong knowledge of MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and MS SharePoint

·        Experience managing project costing, budget forecasting, and resource management

·        Understanding of business process, master and transactional data, and key business systems
