The Corporate Content & Creative team is seeking a highly qualified Principal Video Production Specialist to oversee all facets of video production within our corporate media studio. The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced expertise in video production, including live events, video storage solutions, lighting, and related technical disciplines. This pivotal role is responsible for upholding superior production standards and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality content. Candidates should possess substantial experience leading video production initiatives in a studio environment, preferably within an agency, corporate studio, or television station. The ideal candidate will be adept at leveraging emerging technologies and implementing best practices to continually enhance production capabilities. Joining our team offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, globally focused storytelling and design group that values innovation, cross-functional collaboration, and integrated campaign development.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversee and manage the corporate media studio at Medtronic Operational Headquarters

  • Manage video pre-production planning and on-site production activities

  • Ensures high quality work is delivered on time and on-budget on a consistent basis

  • Anticipate and respond to needs of key stakeholders and partners

  • Supervise staff during video production and/or live events

  • Identify new technology and evolve daily operations as necessary to integrate new technology and capabilities into the media studio

  • Uses extensive event production knowledge to manage all aspects of event technology ranging from lighting and stage design, to video and audio engineering.

  • Potential for travel 20%

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Nice to Have

  • Video production, design, project coordination experience

  • Knowledge on all aspects of shooting videos

  • Demonstrated skill with video editing software platforms, specifically proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite

  • Extensive troubleshooting and signal flow understanding for complex events with multiple display paths, switching routes, and sound reinforcement requirements, plus key skills for live or pre-taped events

  • Knowledge of studio and on-location video production, including camera operation, keying, sound, and lighting design

  • Extensive knowledge of video production equipment

  • Experience with live streaming

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work with varying and changing needs

  • Ability to operate and carry camera equipment (up to 25 lbs)

  • Experience in strategic program planning and implementation

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$92,000.00 - $138,000.00

 

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
