A Day in the Life

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Analyst with advanced expertise in Power BI to join our Global Pricing Insights & Analytics team! In this role, you’ll play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining data-driven solutions that empower the business to make informed, strategic decisions. This role requires not only strong technical proficiency in data modeling, DAX, and visualization design, but also a high level of business acumen and the ability to communicate insights through effective storytelling. The ideal candidate will be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, understanding business requirements, and translating them into actionable, visually compelling BI solutions. If you're passionate about translating complex business needs into powerful data products—we’d love to have you on board! This role is based in Prague with up to 3 days remote work per week.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Develop and maintain enterprise-level Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into BI solutions.
• Apply data storytelling techniques to transform complex information into clear, actionable insights.
• Implement and manage data models, security protocols, and governance frameworks in alignment with best practices.
• Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing recommendations based on data trends and insights.
• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of data literacy across the organization.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Developer, with a strong track record of building complex solutions in Power BI.
• Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large, complex datasets.
• Ability to translate complex business challenges into effective BI solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
• Passion for teamwork, delivering great customer experiences, and continuous learning.
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written) for effective communication across global teams and stakeholders.

Experience with agile practices and supporting adoption of analytics products through communication and training strategies is a plus.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
