A Day in the Life

We are seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to oversee and coordinate our Infrastructure as Code activities. This role will act as the primary business relationship manager between our organization, the engineering teams in infrastructure, and our Managed Service Providers (MSPs). The successful candidate will ensure high-quality service delivery, performance monitoring, and issue escalation of our technology stack. Additionally, this role involves working closely with the DevSecOps product owner to develop norms and standards for GitOps at Medtronic, as well as managing the CI/CD lifecycle, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and reporting.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Act as a technical lead for Infrastructure as Code initiatives, understanding the GitOps model and how to implement solutions to complete infrastructure creation via code.
• Drive code lifecycle management, ensuring up-to-date and secure providers are used throughout the pipeline.
• Collaborate with code writers and facilitate code review process in support of driving compliance and change controls
• Design, develop and implement efficient workflows to support pipeline and GitOps model.
• Assist with compliance and audits to ensure all processes meet standards, best practices and regulatory requirements.
   

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master's or any equivalent education with 7+ years of experience in IT.
• Monitor CI/CD Pipeline to ensure quality and speedy delivery of infrastructure
• Create KPIs used in reporting effectiveness of process and group activities in support of Infrastructure as Code
• Provide regular reports on operational performance, trends, and service quality.
• Collaborate across teams within infrastructure to understand technologies employed and how to best meet their requirements on how to use them within our tech stack
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across infrastructure teams via CI/CD standards in a GitOp model
• Ensure documentation, processes, and runbooks are updated and followed.
• Lead transition and onboarding of new services or projects into the GitOps environment
• Lead projects and initiatives in support of team expanding overall Infrastructure as Code footprint.
