A Day in the Life

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE:

  • Supply Chain Planner (Distribution Requirement Planner)

DEPARTMENT:

  • Distribution Requirement Planning, Global Operation & Supply Chain

(NOT Japan local but global department)

REPORT TO:

  • Supply Chain Planning Manager

ONE-OVER MANAGER:

  • APAC Supply Chain Director

POSITION DISCRIPTION:

  • Manage inventory levels at distribution centers as well as consignment stocks, in line with operational KPIs, financial targets and stocking strategy to support business goals.

  • Prevent potential inventory shortage risks, otherwise formulate alternative mitigation plan with related functions.

  • Develop and coordinate new product phase-in/out plans in collaboration with demand planning, sales & marketing and global planning team.

  • Maintain purchase orders, master data to ensure distribution requirements flowing back to each supplier appropriately.

  • Solve supply or operation-oriented issues via cooperating with commercial and global/local supply chain teams.

  • Hold presentations at periodical inventory reviews to commercial leadership team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Demonstrate business partnering with commercial leadership team.

  • Demonstrate good understanding and application of supply chain principles, concepts, practices, and standards.

  • Meet and collaborate with key business associates, that is marketing product managers, regulatory associates, sales leaders, financial and other supply chain functions to fulfill any business requirements.

  • Work within and actively promote Medtronic’s Mission, corporate strategies, policies, procedures and code of conduct.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCES:

  • Strong passion for challenging new things, personal development, and improvement.

  • Working experience at supply chain not always necessary but at least 2 years of working experience with data literacy and analytical skill are strictly required.

  • Can-do attitude & problem-solving ability.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (TOEIC 700 and above), Business level in Japanese (JLPT N1).

  • Intermediate user of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point.

  • Experience using SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.

  • Baccalaureate degree.

SIPPLIMENTAL INFORMATION:

  • Full-time remote work environment is equipped.

  • 30% of time spending to co-work with international stakes holders (e.g. global supply planner).

  • Working closely with Asia Pacific regional planners.
