A Day in the Life

Responsible for interpreting software validation requirements, writing validation protocols and reports, and conducting comprehensive validation of Windows and Linux-based non-product COTS software. Performs software risk assessments and FMEA. Requires experience in software verification and validation, software design/code review, and familiarity with electromechanical devices. Knowledge of IEC62304, ISO14971, MATLAB, LabVIEW, and Linux is a plus.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned

• Understand and interpret software validation requirements coming from software developers.

• Write validation protocols and reports and perform complete validation of Windows and Linux based non-Product, COTS software.

• Perform software Risk Assessment, FMEA.

Required Knowledge and Experience

• Experience with Software verification and validation process. Knowledge on software design review and code review. Knowledge

  on electromechanical devices.

• Knowledge on IEC62304 , ISO14971 standards is a plus.

• Knowledge on MATLAB, Labview and Linux is a plus.
