Role Overview

The Meeting Manager, Specialty Networks Meeting & Event Planning role at Cardinal Health is a pivotal position within the Pharmaceutical and Specialty Solutions segment. Reporting to event leadership, you'll spearhead the development, planning, and execution of internal and external meetings, events, and trade shows. Key Responsibilities

As Meeting Manager, you'll own end-to-end event lifecycle management:

  • Lead comprehensive planning and flawless execution of meetings, events, and trade shows.
  • Develop, forecast, track in real-time, and finalize event budgets; handle post-event reconciliation, Sunshine Act reporting, and cost breakdowns.
  • Vet and select venues/vendors; coordinate onsite logistics like AV, F&B, and materials production/shipping with the Meeting Coordinator.
  • Serve as primary onsite contact for venues and vendors, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Maintain strict adherence to Cardinal Health compliance guidelines.
  • Manage CVENT for event registration sites and real-time updates.
  • Participate in weekly internal/external meetings and collaborate cross-functionally with Meeting Coordinators, Recruiters, Marketing, and more.

Qualifications & Requirements

Preferred Background

A Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, communications, or a related field is preferred, along with 4+ years of experience in meeting/event planning. Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification is highly valued.

Essential Skills

  • Working knowledge of CVENT or similar event management software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Teams and Excel.
  • Proven experience vetting venues, negotiating vendor contracts, and managing external partners.
