The Merchant II, Merchandising, Top Door & Cities GC position in Shanghai is a pivotal role within Nike's Marketplace Initiatives Merchandising team. This full-time opportunity focuses on crafting assortment segmentation strategies for Nike’s retail concepts, Key Cities, and Top Doors across Greater China. Ideal for entrepreneurial minds with retail expertise, you'll drive merchandising excellence in both direct and wholesale channels, unlocking new marketplace opportunities through consumer insights and strategic planning.
In this role, you'll partner with ND/NSP merchandising and Retail Concept Development to build clear assortment strategies for new and existing retail concepts. Expect to dive deep into periodic hindsighting of retail data, trade zone dynamics, and consumer trends to shape future seasonal approaches. You'll champion retail excellence, ensuring the assortment vision executes flawlessly in Greater China's most critical doors. Additionally, drive product distinction in Must Win Cities and lead the end-to-end process for hyperlocal city products alongside the Geo Express Lane team.
Success hinges on your ability to collaborate across NSP & Nike Direct Merchandising, Sports Merchandising, Geo Express Lane, Retail Concept Development, and Retail Marketing. You'll engage directly with Key City and Top Door networks, fostering partnerships that amplify Nike's retail dominance.
Nike seeks candidates with a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of retail industry experience. Deep knowledge of consumers, marketplace dynamics, and retail operations is essential. Bring passion for the brand, sport, and product, coupled with strong self-motivation, ownership mindset, and prioritization skills. Excellent communication in both Chinese and English is required, along with proficiency in MS Office tools.
