Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with minimum of 2 years of relevant experience Proven experience in process development in an industrial environment Demonstrated experience with software development, including programming languages such as Matlab and Python Familiarity with computational fluid dynamics modelling and simulation software, such as COMSOL Demonstrated experience with image processing algorithms and software, such as Adobe Photoshop or GIMP Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills, coupled with experience in working effectively with cross-functional teams Must have or be able to obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field 10+ years of engineering experience 5+ years of experience in process development in an industrial environment 5+ years of experience with inkjet printing technology, including slicing software and algorithms and ink flow dynamics Experience with design for additive manufacturing (DFAM) principles (experience, 2 years)

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize and test the slicing algorithms plus printhead calibration and maintenance algorithms Conduct experiments and simulations to evaluate the performance of the slicing algorithms and identify areas for improvement Develop and implement testing protocols to ensure the slicing algorithms meet performance and reliability standards Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in inkjet printing and fluid dynamics simulations
