Key Responsibilities at Rivian

• Create and maintain automated, production-ready programs for inspecting parts and assemblies using Zeiss Calypso Software.
• Perform dimensional inspections with CMM, Hexagon Romer 3D laser, blue light scanners, and vision systems.
• Analyze data trends to enhance product quality, capability, and process improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to diagnose and resolve manufacturing issues on the floor.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel as a Metrology Engineer at Rivian, you need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years in manufacturing, ideally with Drive Unit, Battery, or machining components.
• Proven Zeiss Calypso programming skills, including PCM and macros for validation.
• Hands-on experience with surface plates, sine plates, height stands, and compound angles.
• Deep GD&T knowledge and 6DOF application for planes, circles, slots, and cylinders.
• Proficiency in CATIA CAD or similar for design interpretation.
• Strong problem-solving in lab-to-floor transitions.
• Experience in drivetrain castings/gears, battery modules, or aerospace assemblies.
