The world is changing rapidly during this AI platform shift and we need Product Managers who can live in the future and bring back clarity to the present to guide our work.  As a Principal Product Manager - Publisher Monetization, you will help Microsoft owned and operated publishers grow and expand their business using our products, data, and services through advertising. This role requires deep partnership with Microsoft publishers to develop monetization opportunities, leveraging the freedom and flexibility to use innovative technology in service of their business needs.   We work within Microsoft AI (MAI), an organization responsible for Copilot, Bing, Edge, MSN, and other AI-first products. The organization has all the ingredients needed for success with Product, Engineering, Research, and Go To Market functions partnering as peers with shared goals. This enables close collaboration and rapid decision making.   One of the reasons Microsoft AI consistently brings innovative products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. We work closely with talented engineers, designers, marketers, creatives, customers, partners, and go-to-market teams to design and develop products tailored for our customer’s benefit. We run lean, obsess about users, and make decisions based on evidence. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience. (degree)
  • OR equivalent experience. (degree)
  • 2+ years experience working with advertiser, publisher or marketplace ad technology (degree)
  • 2+ years of experience taking a product, feature, or initiative to market (e.g., design, addressing market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework) for advertisers or publishers. (degree)
  • 5+ years of experience in monetization products and technology (degree)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing requirements and deadlines. (degree)
  • Proven ability to collaborate and contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment, fostering knowledge sharing and growth within the team. (degree)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in monetization products and technology (degree)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing requirements and deadlines. (degree)
  • Proven ability to collaborate and contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment, fostering knowledge sharing and growth within the team. (degree)

Responsibilities

  • You will drive business impact across the organization and track success criteria for multiple feature areas. You’ll also identify long-term investment opportunities and engage partners to garner support for those feature areas.
  • You will help define a feature set and facilitate mid-level usability reviews with customers. You’ll own the roadmap for multiple feature areas, and will collaborate with a partner team to build golden configurations and drive scenario walkthroughs.
  • You will scale Product Marketing teams by helping build marketing, roll-out, and customer support plans. You’ll also promote the feature areas you worked on and present at large events.
  • You will partner with others to collect performance metrics and form hypotheses for complex technical needs in order to improve product development in targeted areas. You’ll also identify features to deprecate, manage customer communities, and build trust with targeted customers.

Travel Requirements

4 days / week in-office
